🏀 Tournament Weekend Recap: 8U & 10U Boys Invitational @ SL Biddy

The Cut Off Youth Center was packed all weekend as teams from across the region competed in the 2026 South Lafourche Biddy Basketball 8U & 10U Boys Invitational Tournament, delivering exciting games and great memories for players and families alike.

10U Division Recap
The 10U bracket featured South Lafourche Blue, South Lafourche White, Vermilion Biddy, Patterson Biddy, Thibodaux 10U, and Thibodaux 9U, with teams battling through competitive pool and bracket play.
In the championship game, Thibodaux 10U completed a perfect 5–0 weekend, defeating South Lafourche Blue 35–27 to capture the tournament title. South Lafourche Blue finished an impressive 4–1, earning second place after a strong run.
Jeremiah Williams (#11) of Thibodaux was named Tournament MVP, delivering big plays throughout the weekend to lead his team to the championship.
8U Division Recap
The 8U division featured South Lafourche, Central Lafourche B-Team, Thibodaux 7U, St. John Parish, Patterson Biddy, and JPRD Eastbank, showcasing some of the area’s youngest rising talent.
In the championship game, JPRD Eastbank capped off a dominant weekend with a 21–2 win over St. John Parish, finishing 5–0 to claim the title. St. John Parish earned runner-up honors with a strong 4–2 weekend performance.
Tournament MVP honors went to Celaven Locke (#3) of Eastbank for his outstanding play and leadership throughout the tournament.
A Great Weekend for Youth Basketball
Beyond the scores, the weekend showcased teamwork, sportsmanship, and the continued growth of youth basketball across the bayou region. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and families who helped make the tournament another great success. 🏀👏
